IDTA Exams
IDTA Grade & Medal Examinations
The Tracy Quaife Theatre Dance School follows the International Dance Teachers’ Association Syllabus.
The IDTA is an Ofqual, CCEA and Qualifications Wales recognised awarding organisation and are a member of British Dance Council (BDC) Council for Dance, Drama and Musical Theatre (CDMT) Federation of Dance Awarding Bodies (FDAB)
Sports and Recreation Alliance (SRA) and Theatre Dance Council International (TDCI).
Pupils at the Tracy Quaife Theatre Dance School are entered for IDTA Exams throughout the year in all the core subjects,
Ballet, Tap, Modern, Theatre Craft, and Freestyle.
For some children exams can be a bit daunting, so we encourage all pupils to dance from their heart, enjoy the day, and gain the experience needed for social and communication skills.
With this positive attitude the pupils and the school have been rewarded with an excellent 100% pass rate, with most of the pupils gaining Distinction within the attainment band.
Pupils who have taken their Intermediate Exam and wish to pursue their career in teaching dance, are encouraged, guided and coached by Miss Tracy for their IDTA Level 4 Diploma in Dance Teaching.
Successful candidates are helped to gain teaching positions around the country and Europe, with past students teaching in Nottingham, Canada and London.
